Although Warzone's new Urzikstan update has brought forward a bunch of quality-of-life fixes, and has reignited a lot of faith in the battle royale, after nearly half a season fans are already asking for more.
The second wave of Warzone 2 saw movement mechanics be reverted to match those of the old-school sensibilities encouraged by Modern Warfare 3, and merged the Modern Warfare 2 and 3 guns with an almost seamless transition, but it's not enough.
Ahead of the mid-Season 1 update and Season 2, Warzone fans are now calling for an overhaul of more features, including unsteady servers, audio, and redeployment options.
Warzone players list mass changes needed in Season 2
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded is set to arrive sometime this month, with Season 2 due in early February, and players have lined up some well-needed changes that Santa forgot to drop down the chimney.
Starting this off on a Reddit thread, one fan who claimed "Warzone is better but still sucks" has rolled out a list of features that need tweaking.
Audio, gas masks, air strike loot population, poor ground loot, and movement around windows are all popular ports of call on the thread.
"Too many self-revives, redeploy packs, redeploy flairs, gulag tokens, etc," pointed out another fan, who felt like that 100-player lobbies felt more like Resurgence than a true BR where you're life was valuable.
Despite major audio fixes in recent weeks, players also felt like the boots on the ground sounds were too quiet.
"By the time you hear the footsteps (if at all) of a full squad rolling up on you, it's already too late," another said.
Then there are the servers.
Warzone fans plead for fixes to the servers
The other main issue for fans is the game's server latency. One fan pointed out that Warzone's servers use a tick-rate of 20, whereas the likes of Apex Legends use 60, and this causes a lot of instability.
"The servers are barely playable 50% of the matches," said a further fan. "Even the playable matches, there's clearly a lot of delay from the servers, which will cause hit reg issues," they added.
Another piled on this to say, "Hit reg is by far the worst in this one. That is probably the most important to fix."
Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software have both continually advocated listening to the community, but with the next two major updates not that far away, this long list of changes might not get whittled down in one fell swoop.
