You'd think that we have enough Captain Price content. Even if we discount the fact that he was a huge part of Call of Duty's Modern Warfare series back when it first appeared in the Xbox 360 era - and even appeared all the way back in Call of Duty 2 - he's a pretty big deal.
Following Infinity Ward's revamp of the MW series in 2019's reboot, Captain John Price has been fronting the series. He's once again thought to be a massive part of Modern Warfare 3, although there are fears he could be about to kick the bucket. Now, it looks like Captain Price is getting comfortable in other franchises.
Captain Price comes to Red Dead Redemption 2
One player has pretty faithfully brought the champion of Modern Warfare II straight back to the Wild West, as they've shared a look at their own character in Red Dead Online inspired by the Call of Duty protagonist.
The character wields a very modern-looking rifle (we won't ask how he got his hands on it) with his whopping moustache and steely glare to boot. All things considered, the character design is pretty faithful and is about as close as you can get to bringing Cap into the era of cowboys and train heists.
Fans react to Captain Price in Red Dead Redemption 2
"Cowpoke 6, going high noon," remarks one commenter as fans flood the comments to pull their own gags. "I can’t see Captain Price," says one. "All I can see is Ulysses S Grant with an m4, and I love it."
"Imagine if Rockstar gave us the ability to upload/download characters like WWE 2K does with the Community Creations," says another. "I'd have so much fun muckin about with him." We've seen some impressed Red Dead builds in the past, with some previously creating their own Homer Simpson.
Next thing we know, we'll have the entirety of Task Force 141 riding into Armadillo and shooting the place up. Remember, we've already had a cowboy-inspired Ghost skin in the CoD shop. Still, we doubt their skills will apply to tending to horses and searching for Bigfoot.
