With Activision bulging under the weight of having 20 years of Call of Duty under its belt, it's easy to forget just how many entries there are in the shooter series. We've come a long way from the trenches of WWII, with CoD having blasted off into space, given us alternate histories, and even battled Zombies.
While we're sure there are many of you who have an impressive collection of CoD titles sitting on your shelves as your gaming pride and joy, how many can boast about owning all of them? Most have likely played every entry from the 2003 OG through to 2022's Modern Warfare 2, but do you actually own them?
Call of Duty: Franchise Collection costs a small fortune
We're used to Humble Bundles giving us the likes of Rocksteady's Arkham Games or Capcom's Resident Evil for a knockdown price, but the idea of packaging every CoD into a neat bundle seems too big to comprehend. Thankfully, Steam has (nearly) done it for us with the Call of Duty: Franchise Collection.
Over on Steam, you can nab the Call of Duty: Franchise Collection, which includes 40 titles. Brace yourselves because it comes in at a jaw-dropping $962.60/£728.33. If you think that's a lot, Steam has given you a 10% discount for your troubles. While we'd love a physical collection, it's the next best thing.

Given that newer entries like Black Ops 4/Cold War, Vanguard, and Modern Warfare 2 are MIA, it shows just how many CoD games are out there. Still, if you think you're missing a few pieces of the puzzle, the Call of Duty: Franchise Collection has you covered.
What's next for Call of Duty?
It doesn't seem that long ago that we were looking at a CoD-free 2022. Activision vowed that Modern Warfare 2 would be a multi-year outing, before it changed to 2023 releasing some sort of expanded DLC, and then Sledgehammer taking the reins for a full-blown Modern Warfare 3 as another mainline instalment.
We might not be seeing another Vanguard after the middling success of 2021's game, but in terms of subseries like Black Ops and Modern Warfare, expect a bright future. Only recently, Infinity Ward said it was "just getting started" on Modern Warfare, and whether that includes sequels, prequels, or spin-offs, we're here for it.
For longer than we care to remember, there have been whispers of the beloved Ghost getting his own spin-off, while Treyarch was once tipped to be working on a standalone Zombies. Either way, the Activision Blizzard merger puts the might of Microsoft behind the CoDverse and is destined to see things grow.
