The future of Call of Duty has been up in the air a fair bit.

Since the announcement of Microsoft's intention to purchase Activision Blizzard, along with every game under their wing, there has been a lot of talk about where these franchises will go.

Call of Duty is naturally at the forefront of this conversation, with it being one of gaming's biggest franchises - and though it has been confirmed that, at least for the next few years, the game will not be exclusive to Xbox, fans have wondered if some of the series' legacy titles could yet come to Game Pass.

Well, it looks like that question has finally been answered.

Call Of Duty Games Have Been Hinted To Come To Game Pass

Though they haven't arrived directly on the service yet, a huge hint that Call of Duty is coming to Game Pass has been discovered on the Xbox store.

As first publicised by ModernWarzone, some Call of Duty games have appeared on the Xbox store page for games on Game Pass on sale, which doesn't directly confirm their arrival on the pass, but it's a big hint. Bethesda games that went to Game Pass appeared here before the official announcement of their arrival on the Pass, so there's a very real possibility that these games could follow suit.

Better yet, it's not just classics that are appearing - the section is headlined by Black Ops Cold War, and is joined by Modern Warfare Remastered and 2019's Modern Warfare. Who knows yet if Vanguard will join them - but if it does, it means that every single Call of Duty game available on Xbox would likely be making its way to Game Pass.

When Will Call Of Duty Come To Game Pass?

There's still no word on when we can expect an announcement of Call of Duty's arrival on Game Pass, but this appearance on the Xbox store is a hint that it could be soon. We'd expect a huge bombastic announcement for their arrival, as they'll likely be coming with a wealth of other Activision Blizzard titles, but we'll just have to wait and see how big the drop will actually be.

This is big and could be yet another massive draw for the already hugely popular Game Pass. Call of Duty's arrival may just cement Game Pass as the ultimate gaming subscription, destroying the newly rejigged PS Plus before it can even get out the stalls.
