Though it's easy to mock and lambast Call of Duty: Warzone, there are a few things it manages to nail. The battle royale favourite is littered with glitches, bugs, hackers and imbalance, that much is clear. It's still large-scale Call of Duty, and that alone is a selling point for players.

Plus, the Gulag is a fascinating addition to the battle royale space - giving players the chance to literally fight for their lives and earn a second chance on the battlefield if they can kill their opponent. It's a great way to keep gameplay fresh and Warzone itself packed with only the finest combatants. But, as ever, there's a problem.

What Is The Call Of Duty Gulag Glitch?

A new bug has appeared in Warzone that is letting the Gulag play out as normal, but then instantly kills the winner, so nobody gets to go back to the fight. It kind of defeats the whole point of the Gulag.

The glitch was first revealed on Reddit by a video from u/I_AM_THE_SEB, who shows off their skills in the Gulag. Although the OP easily dispatches their foe and expects to be dropped back into Caldera, it doesn't happen that was.

As the screen goes black after their victory, they simply go to the post-game screen, telling them where in the game they placed. They've got no chance of heading back to the battlefield, and their game ends there. It's a total nightmare for the player, but it's actually pretty funny that their effort ends up meaning nothing.

When Will Warzone Be Fixed?

The troubles in Warzone are a seemingly never-ending list, and frankly, there are so many, it's unlikely that Raven Software can topple all of the problems before players jump ship for Infinity Ward's upcoming Warzone 2. It's a sad fate that Warzone has suffered as it tried to topple the glitches and hacks.

Sadly, it doesn't actually look like Warzone is going to get such robust fixes that we'll be able to call it officially "fixed" by the end of this year. It's sad to see Warzone go to pot, while the Call of Duty Gulag glitch is yet another on the list of things that Raven is yet to address. Who knows - maybe this could be the final nail in the Warzone coffin for players?
