There's no denying that Call of Duty has leant into its provocative fandom in 2024, dipping its toes into the realm of Overwatch libidinous.
We've already seen nerfs deployed to characters' asses, including superhero crossovers and Ghost Jeans, as it seems no one is safe from the randy eyes of Activision fans.
So, with a new "thick" Operator teased for Warzone Mobile, you can be forgiven for thinking that there might be some lustful outfits on display. Well, no. But it is horny...
Call of Duty's new 'thick' skin definitely has the horn
Coming to Warzone Mobile is the new "Thick Skin" Operator reward, which will be added exclusively to Android and iOS through The Keep (Warzone Mobile's original skin market that differed from the cross-platform portfolio).
Arriving in Season 5, the horned rhino (aka the Corso Hammer Horn operator skin) will be added to The Keep alongside a DG-58 LSW blueprint. Still, that hasn't stopped it being dubbed a 'discount' Rocksteady from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Although it's not what you'd imagine from its namesake bundle, the rhino does look formidable and comes with a devastating finishing move, a cool jungle-camo armour, and a lifeline snout that would strike fear into most of the creatures chopping around Verdansk in Warzone Mobile.
The Keep will also be bolstered later in the season by the Ethereal Echoes and Mad Maskque bundles alongside some additional and typical customisation rewards. As you can imagine, the reveal has divided fans. One sceptic said, "Who is this for at this point," while another added, "Getting ridiculous."
The Rhino joins a string of animalistic skins added to Call of Duty in the last two years, as it joins an entire zoo featuring gorillas, cats, rats, wolves, bunnies, orangutans, pigeons, dogs, sloths, and more.
Maybe unfortunately for you, the thick skin isn't quite what you expected. Rather than it having "jiggly" mechanics like players have become accustomed too, the Rhino will rather smash you into oblivion if you get caught staring at its wrinkly backside.
