We haven't had Modern Warfare 2 for all that long, but players have found the opportunity to moan about it. Obviously.
Thankfully, the story seems a little different with Warzone 2.0, which is tiding players over nicely - but with hopes being so high for the new Modern Warfare game, long-time Call of Duty fans have their nitpicks.
Though some pros are telling us we know what they're getting into when we pick up a new shooter, players still have their problems with the game - including one feature that they want brought over from Battlefield 2042.
Modern Warfare 2 Players Want A Dark Mode
After the game was a military-grade failure, it's interesting to see that there was actually something of merit buried in Battlefield 2042, and it looks like some Call of Duty players want to see a feature brought to life in the game appear in Modern Warfare 2.
Flashbangs have been a core part of the Call of Duty experience for years, and gamers have been forced to put up with the screen-filling white flash that comes with it in every single game, absolutely blasting their retinas in the process.
But, it doesn't have to be this way, as proved by one Reddit post - one user has pitched the 'Dark Mode' concussion blast from Battlefield 2042, which sees the screen bask in black rather than white, and saving players their eyesight.
It's a fairly simple change that makes total sense, so it's surprising to see it only picked up in 2042.
Call of Duty Players React To Calls For Dark Mode
Fans have taken to the comments of the Reddit post to echo the call for the game to add dark mode concussion blasts.
"Hell yes. That'd be amazing," says one player. "They're burning through my skull with the frequency they're thrown in this game."
"Ohh I had no idea that you could do that on BF," says another. "We need this in EVERY GAME that has flash grenades."
It seems that the feature, simple though it may seem, is a pretty big quality of life change that could make playing Modern Warfare 2 a little less… searing.
