Call of Duty’s Shipment obsession brings a drivable floating island to Warzone

Shipment gets ANOTHER variant, but this time it's in Warzone, and it's, uh, floating.

Shipment Floating

If Modern Warfare 3 Season 6 has confirmed anything, amid all of its deployed spooks and horrors, is that Call of Duty is absolutely obsessed with the map Shipment.

The multiplayer title received five new Shipment variants into public playlists, adding to the pre-existing Christmas reskin, leaving players rather exasperated at the constant need to bring it back.

Yet, just a week later, another Shipment variant is here. But, it's in Warzone, and it's pretty damn cool.

Warzone's new Purgatory mode brings a drivable shipment island

As part of the new Purgatory game mode on Warzone's Rebirth Island map, players can find a floating island hovering above the map with a replica of Shipment on it.

The POI is part of this hellish coat of paint across the Resurgence playlist but also features in a wild Easter egg.

In one of the crates, accessible with a bit of parkour, are the controls to the island, and players can access them and take the reigns as if it were a chopper.

Players can move it around Rebirth Island and even completely flip it over, while other enemies and teammates battle it out down below.

Rumour has it that underneath this island is a grumpy old grandad, a boy scout, and a very good Golden Retriever, all looking Up

Jokes aside, the Shipment variant isn't just a gimmick, as, despite its drivable Easter egg, it comes as a very real POI in the Purgatory LTM and has already begun to offer plenty of value to anyone landing there.

Partnered with one of the most counter-intuitive fast-paced LMGs that the game has ever seen, this Shipment variant is a recipe for success for the best Warzone players around.

Here's to hoping that the canonical driver takes this floating island out from above Alcatraz and dumps it in the bottom of the ocean never to be seen again. I've had enough. I've also thought that will just result in a Shipment-Atlantis. Aquaman crossover anyone? Oh god. Can we just nuke it? I'm done.
