Like a squabbling rabble of siblings, the inevitable has finally happened for Call of Duty.
Since day one, individual studios have been sparring for control in the CoD series, with Infinity Ward and Treyarch being the juggernaut heavyweights with the biggest punches, while Neversoft was knocked out and others like Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games were able to come in as undisputed rookies and help elevate the many-gamed franchise.
But they appear to have finally snapped, as Call of Duty Mobile has issued a statement of intent as Warzone Mobile looks to swoop in and steal its content.
Warzone Mobile steals popular CoD: Mobile content, sparking a war
Somehow, despite strains being at an all-time high between Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward after the disaster class that was the MW3 campaign, the first studios to take up arms against each other appear to be the new branches of the Mobile genre.
With Warzone Mobile being integrated into the console world with cross-progression, the battle royale game will also boast multiplayer modes to help players level up weapons and get used to the controls.
But this has seen Warzone Mobile actually steal content from its sister game, as Alcatraz and Shoot House have been removed from CoD Mobile amid their arrival in the new app (Alcatraz will be Rebirth Island again).
Both maps have been axed from the game which they have been hosted on for a number of years, and it could open the doors for even more maps to be moved over, such as the popular XP-farming Shipment.

As a long-standing game, CoD Mobile doesn't seem to be lying down and taking its beating from Warzone though, as TiMi Studio Group has now issued a tweet, outlining its plan to continue publishing more CoD Mobile content.
"Call of Duty: Mobile will continue to get new content every season and there are no plans to change the breadth of content we bring to COD:M players," it said on Twitter.
The developers also confirmed that the axed content will be returning at a later date, rotating with Warzone Mobile.
With so many games now available in the CoD universe, the harmony between studios was always living on borrowed time, but as a smaller part of the overall series, CoD Mobile fans will be grateful that its developers are digging in its heels against the Warzone engulfment.
