Where would you go during a zombie apocalypse? The supermarket? That's where all your food is. Nuketown? Good chance of finding some juggernog. A football stadium? Well...

You might think an out-in-the-open football stadium could be a good place to head, with plenty of rooms to bar up, a food and drink supply, and presumably some good armour padding and weaponry lying about.

But if you do choose a stadium, maybe avoid the SoFi in Los Angeles, as Activision has already infested it with hangry undead corpses.

Activision creates a Zombie outbreak at the SoFi Stadium

With Zombies coming to Modern Warfare 3, Activision is celebrating this medley of CoD developers and has launched an outbreak in the SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams.

Fans have reported that Zombies have been irking around the tiered stadium sporting Rams jerseys and plain clothes, and have even infiltrated the command centre, taking over the electricity and cameras.

Of course, they aren't real, but the marketing campaign looks to be really closing in on the Zombies game mode, which has critics on the edge of their seats and a fan base divided.

Does a Zombies outbreak at SoFi Stadium mean anything for Modern Warfare 3?

Activision is launching many regional Call of Duty marketing campaigns, but this could be one of the most indicative we've had yet, as blue-tinted stadiums elude to quite a big deal in this era.

We've already seen Zombies take over theatres (Kino Der Toten) so why not a Stadium too? And why not Verdansk? It's back, after all.

The MW3 Zombies mode is supposed to be set canonically before the destruction of Verdansk, with Soap in action, and could be a major hint that the map could be involved with Zombies at some point this year.

Or, it could just be a bit of flesh-eating fun. Who knows?
