It's no secret, and it's tough to avoid - Call of Duty: Vanguard's Zombies mode is a travesty. The fan-favourite launched unfinished, as admitted by Treyarch, and that the real content would be slopped over the empty map that currently stands at some point in the future. Fans felt abandoned, and rightfully so.

While there's no promise that the current Vanguard map in play will actually be finished, fans are hoping that it'll see some kind of remedy during the next season. And as it turns out, there will be some Zombies content coming during the upcoming Festive Fervor event - but Call of Duty forgot to tell fans about it. Not a good look.

Call Of Duty Forgets To Mention Zombies In Xmas Roadmap

In its announcement on what's to come during the upcoming Christmas event for Vanguard and Warzone, Call of Duty has managed to neglect Zombies once again by forgetting to include the upcoming content in its roadmap.

"This holiday season, celebrate Shipmas plus more by giving your squad the gift of a clutch W," says the Call of Duty Twitter page - which has have apparently just picked up the dictionary of gamer-speak. The tweet reveals an image of the Festive Fervor roadmap, but one thing is notably missing.

"The holiday cheer is coming to Stalingrad in Zombies, too!" chimes in Treyarch Studios in the replies. "See you on the 16th."

It's laughable that Zombies content has to be reminded to Call of Duty themselves - and fans are absolutely seething.

Zombies Fans React To Call Of Duty's Twitter Snub

Fans have taken to the CODZombies subreddit to air their frustrations, and they're upset about Call of Duty simply forgetting about Zombies. "This is lame," reads the post's caption. "Zombies has never been more mistreated."

"So glad I didn't buy Vanguard", comments one user. "Zombies was rushed like hell because of Activision and now it's gonna be neglected like hell because it didn't bring in people like Activision hoped for."

"It's obvious all they care about is Warzone at this point," says another - and frankly, it's easy to see why they'd make this assumption. Zombies has very blatantly been cast aside to such a degree that upcoming content has genuinely been forgotten.

It's a shame to see the mode get forgotten like this, and it's indicative that a good, well-rounded Zombies experience might not be making its way to Vanguard after all. At least we still have Cold War.
