Call of Duty’s latest nerf bites Ghost in the butt

While Call of Duty fans are happy to see Jeans Ghost arrive in-game, others are questioning why the designers have seemingly nerfed his butt.

We're so used to seeing Task Force 141 jump into action in their combat gear that it's easy to forget they have lives outside of saving the world. Yes, even Price, Ghost, and co. like to kick back in their casual clothing. We might not know much about Simon "Ghost" Riley, but we know he likes a pair of Levi's (other jeans are available).

Although the surprise was spoiled ahead of time, Jeans Ghost is officially back in Call of Duty. First appearing in Modern Warfare 2, this dressed-down version of the fan-favourite immediately became iconic. We're happy he's back for Modern Warfare 3, but by the looks of it, Ghost has taken a literal hit in the backside.

Call of Duty has nerfed Ghost's butt

Similar to complaints that the Firecracker skin from The Boys collab had her ass nerfed, Jeans Ghost is also facing the same criticisms. Others asked for the likes of John "Soap" MacTavish and Phillip Graves to get their own jeans variants, but in the meantime, let's take a closer look at Ghost's posterior.

One critic said, "Where’d his ass go? :(," while another joked, "They can't keep getting away with with." A third said, "I know they did it to Firecracker so I have to wonder if they did it to everyone for equality," and a fourth concluded, "Why does he look like he lost 20 pounds ? WHERE ARE THE THIGHS ??? 😭😭😭😭."

It definitely looks like Ghost has lost a few lbs, and they've been shaved from one particular area, but is this really where we're at? With the likes of Stellar Blade being called out for ogling Eve and fetishising her, is it really any different when demanding Ghost needs to have a bigger ass?

Coming as part of the Obisidian Steed bundle, Jeans Ghost comes alongside the Obsidian Steed assault rifle, a decal, emblem, and loading screen. Still, coming in at 1600 COD Points, it's quite a lot for a new fit. With skins not carrying over from MW3, this is also a bit of a short-lived skin unless you're only interested in Warzone.

Others are questioning who is really spending their money on another Ghost operator that simply puts him in a pair of jeans. It seems CoD can't win, and while some call out in the increasingly outlandish collabs with the likes of WWE, others are refusing to pay to give Ghost some jeans.
