There are a select set of maps in Call of Duty's history that have acquired legendary status within the community. Locations like Rust, Highrise, Terminal, Crash, Shipment and even Verdansk all fall into that category, but there is one that stands above the rest for a lot of players.

We're obviously talking about Nuketown, a map that is beloved by CoD fans and originally debuted in Black Ops 1. Having returned multiple times in newer Call of Duty games, a lot of fans assumed they had seen every possible variation of Nuketown by now.

Well, they were wrong and have been left speechless after seeing an Unreal Engine 5 next-gen remaster of the iconic map, courtesy of the Bodycam devs.

Bodycam devs create Unreal Engine 5 CoD Nuketown map

The Call of Duty community has been stunned by a gameplay clip from Reissad Studio, showcasing the Nuketown map in their upcoming FPS game called Bodycam.

As pointed out by Dexerto, it's been recreated in Unreal Engine 5, and the iconic location has been crafted with a disturbing level of realism. It almost appears as if you're watching an actual video of a person wearing a camera.

The dev's version of Nuketown appears to have been abandoned for a long time and is decaying with old age, only making it more unsettling.

At the moment, it's not been revealed whether this Nuketown map will make an appearance in the final version of Bodycam. Either way, it's acted as a great advertisement for the title and has FPS fans desperate to give it a go for themselves.

One cheered, "Yooo that's super sexy! I wanna try it," while another added, "When can we play it?"  A third concluded, "You guys need to make like a small gulag/horror map. The body cam fish eye is perfect. It pumps everyones adrenaline throughout the entire match."

Does Bodycam have a release date?

Currently, Bodycam does not have a release date and it is simply listed as "coming soon" on the official Steam page.

However, the devs are providing regular updates on their progress, and based on how it looks so far, it won't be too long before FPS fans can dive in for themselves.

Although the game has caused a lot of controversy with its unbelievable realism, it's certainly caught the attention of CoD fans with Nuketown. It has countless players waiting for a release date and begging to try out this revamped Nuketown.
