CDL Won't Be Allowing Mouse And Keyboard Set-Ups On PC

With the Call of Duty League switching to PC, the CDL have confirmed that they won't be allowing keyboard and mouse.

The world of Call of Duty is as exciting as it ever has been. Black Ops Cold War looks to be an absolute treat, and could rival Black Ops 2 as Treyarch's best ever instalment of the franchise. From a competitive standpoint, the Call of Duty League has never looked more promising, after some somewhat unstable years.

With a few hiccups along the road, the CDL will be the most competitive it ever has been, especially with the announcement that the league will be reverting from five versus five to teams of four. With Rostermaina fully underway, the Call of Duty League casually dropped another huge announcement. The CDL is moving to PC Only.

Since creation, COD esports has been a console game, originally starting on Xbox before transitioning to PS5. Now, the best players in the world will be competing on PC, with a twist.

Mouse and Keyboard will not be permitted, whatsoever. The league stated in their blog post that "All pro matches will be played on PC and all pro players must use a League-approved controller of their choice.

"Call of Duty League competition will maintain exclusive use of controllers for the upcoming season. This change provides players with [an] expanded choice of controller, allowing them to select the League-approved controller style that works best for their game". This strictly prohibits MnK to be used, sticking to its roots with the controller.

Many players have been sceptical that this may change in the future and change COD esports forever, however, this stance from the CDL suggests that we'll be seeing Scuf controllers for the foreseeable future. Good news for console players worldwide. The Challengers scene will also be controller-only, although they will play on either PC or console in crossplay lobbies.
