The Call of Duty meta is something that is brought into question on a seemingly hourly basis at this point. Given that the brand-new shooter experience is coming in the shape of Modern Warfare 3, players are crossing their fingers that Infinity Ward's latest foray will be able to maintain its weapon balancing.
So far, it doesn't look like the final days of this iteration of Warzone are setting the stage for a balanced shooter to come. It wouldn't be Warzone unless something was broken, but depending on how you play, there could be a new weapon you'll want in your arsenal.
Warzone players claim one sniper rifle is a 'cheat code'
That's not a good sign. One Warzone pro has pointed out an absurdly good sniper rifle build for Warzone, which has the potential to tear the whole game's meta to shreds and is dominating the Halloween-themed Haunting event.
Popular YouTube channel Sally Is a Dog revealed a build that makes enemies effortlessly stand out on their backgrounds by using the SZ Heatsource 800 scope. Comparing it to the basic night vision of Schlager Nightview, he proves the scope is far superior to even the most advanced night vision.
Even from hundreds of metres away, players pop against the background and are easy to pick off. In a game like Warzone, this could make all the difference between victory and the gulag, as such large zones to fight in can be made into safe havens when you know exactly where everyone else is.
Fans react to incredible Warzone sniper
"I’ve been pitching the Schlager sights for months!!!" says one comment. "The 3.4x is great for a base, but using the night view for anything in the dark or with lots of smoke is clutch!"
"This is another one of my fave scopes," says another. "It's just a little slower ADS but great field of view, clear sights and great range. I use it in the daytime sometimes as well."
It's clear that the scope has a lot of fighters and just as much potential. If we're not careful, it could be the new meta - but if you can get ahead of it, you could get some tasty easy kills in. Don't worry, we won't tell anyone.
