Call of Duty leaks have no chill, and even though we're still playing the 2023 game, there are already rumblings about the titles that will take us through to 2028.

As Modern Warfare 3 enters its sign-off stage ahead of a Black Ops takeover (presumed to be for two years with separate titles akin to the last MW surge), leakers are now sharing what Activision reportedly has planned for the next two releases after that.

But, we're not convinced that the leakers are hammering down the right door.

Call of Duty leaks suggest Ghosts and Advanced sequels are lined up for 2026 & 2027

According to the duo of leakers "Visceral" and "Vondyispog", the latter of whom has already shared a range of Black Ops 6 leaks, the next two titles after Black Ops' double-header will be a Ghosts and Advanced Warfare sequel, respectively.

Ghosts, reportedly planned for 2026, is quite a beloved title in the community, even if the original title splits opinions, and has often been the subject of fans' attention when it comes to remastered content.

Advanced Warfare is held in similar regards, but a return to jetpacks might not be to everyone's taste, especially when you tie in Warzone.

Upcoming Call of Duty leaks leave traces of uncertainty

Of course, leaks come with a pinch of salt, and this time there's enough salt to season the ocean.

A Ghosts sequel would all be fun and games, but there's unfinished business for Infinity Ward in the Modern Warfare series, and the studio has previously hinted at a Simon "Ghost" Riley prelude. IW has listed jobs for this 2026 project, adding some legitimacy, although Ghosts was previously a Sledgehammer Games IP and could be a spanner in the works.

Maybe Ghosts was formed off the back of Riley, and the worlds could combine?

As for Advanced Warfare 2, Sledgehammer Games has been dying to do this, but Activision has been against it in the past, even scrapping a sequel in early development. Knowing that the "casual" community didn't enjoy the futuristic era, what has changed between pre-MW2 and post-MW2 for that red light to turn green?

Maybe this is pessimism, but with these games being four years down the line anyway, let's just focus on Black Ops.
