Compared to where Call of Duty was back in 2013, when TranZit's moving Zombies map launched and was seen as groundbreaking for the franchise, we've come a long way.

The multi-location map took Zombies to a new level, having the bus drive around the map to whisk us away to different locations, something that has only ever been attempted once again with Outbreak, although each zone there was not cohesive with the last.

But after Modern Warfare 3 Zombies showed just how the undead game mode can work on such a massive scale, fans now want to see TranZit return on a similar size.

Although it did have its flaws, TranZit is one of the Zombies fans' most-loved maps ever, up there with Die Reise, Shadows of Evil, and Origins, so much so that fans have remade TranZit on more recent models of the franchise.

But fans are now calling for a sequel, and this time they want it pack-a-punched.

"I really want a TranZit outbreak map," said one fan on a popular Reddit thread comparing its size to that of Urzikstan.

"Imagine if we had TranZit remade today. Imagine the possibilities. Imagine the draw distance," another fan said on Reddit.

Others joked that they wished the fog and those annoying clingy flying zombies would stay in the past if a remake was to ever happen, but there are a lot of fans on board with a map in the mould of Tranzit which takes you around a landscape the size of Urzikstan, really bulking out the difficulty of Zombies in a fun manner.

Could a Warzone-sized TranZit mode be on its way?

Well, leaks have already indicated that there is a TranZit map on the cards for the future of Zombies. Previous leaks claimed a TranZit remaster and Chronicles 2 is on the horizon, which isn't quite a large-scale map but rather a re-publication of the original.

This could get the bus rolling though, and if it proves to be a hit again in 2024, the Treyarch might be tempted into something on the larger scale for its second year in 2025.

Unfortunately, it might take some time, if ever, for this idea to come to fruition, but it's not impossible...
