Over the years, Call of Duty has had its fair share of pay-to-win cosmetics that make players harder to see on the battlefield.

Beginning with Roze back in the OG Warzone, a lot of the community thought that was as bad as it would ever get.

Well, that was until the Gaia or Groot skin arrived in MW2 and started causing widespread frustration. While the devs have attempted to address the skin's visibility with patches, it's still an issue.

Now MW3 has been released, players are claiming the cosmetic has become more OP than ever before, calling on the devs to step in as soon as possible.

CoD players claim Groot skin is completely "invisible" in MW3

The Groot skin has only just stepped foot in MW3 and there's already a lot of anger among players who claim it's "literally invisible."

According to a thread on the ModernWarfareIII subreddit, the cosmetic is unbelievably overpowered on maps like Estate and Wasteland, where it seems to completely blend into the environment.

This isn't an isolated complaint, with one user encouraging Sledgehammer to "delete it entirely," and another claiming it's "way worse on MW3" compared to MW2 & Warzone.

For a lot of fans, it's completely ruining the MW3 launch experience and will be the dev's "biggest mistake" so far if they keep it in the game.

MW3 players are not just here to complain though, they've come equipped with potential solutions that they think will solve the Gaia skin issue for good.

"Make it glow, extremely," said one user, with another arguing there should be a "cosmetic toggle, I should have the ability to turn off seeing anyone else's cosmetics from my game's perspective, or at least the non-mil-sim ones."

While excessive glowing is likely an option the devs will consider, a cosmetic toggle is very unlikely to ever be added. One of the main reasons players buy cosmetics is to show them off, so giving the community the option to toggle them would result in significantly fewer skin sales.
