Three-time Call of Duty esports World Champion Ian "Crimsix" Porter has hardly been enjoying the fruits of his labour in his retirement status.

The CoD legend already has millions of dollars worth of winnings under his belt through his decade-long career at the heights of the esport industry, but after transitioning to a Sim-Racing career for FaZe Clan, Crimisix has now ditched computer games altogether and gotten behind the wheel of real race cars.

And after weeks of intense training, Crimsix has debuted in GT Racing, winning his opening two races.

After making the transition to real-life racing, Crimsix has debuted in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America, where racers will all drive Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars in a circuit race, something which he is quite familiar with having splashed out on a similar car with his CoD winnings.

In his opening two races behind the wheel, Crimsix soared to victory, winning by a handful of seconds each time.

"When I crossed the line, it was actually really cool," Crimsix said in a post-race interview with FPS Hub. "I realised how many people are part of this group, and committing everything they have towards this, towards me, and towards the car."

"It's a great feeling knowing that I have backing like that in something I'm really passionate about."

Crimsix's double-set of victories have come in just one round of action, with a total of seven heats to be held in the Cayman Pro-Am event, where the former 38-time CoD champion will look to add even more silverware to his already-bulging trophy cabinet.

Crimsix compares CoD esports to GT Racing

According to the Porsche Sprint Challenge broadcast team, Crimsix has claimed that the latter years of his career in esports had little pressure and that he wanted a new challenge to thrive in.

Speaking during the race, the broadcast quoted Crimsix saying "I know when I go into a gaming competition, I’ve got a good chance of winning, let's try something new, where every corner is high-pressure."

Having now conquered gaming and grasping racing too, the sky is the limit for Crimsix, and maybe the Red Bull team might be eyeing their successor for Max Verstappen.
