Even as Modern Warfare 3 heads toward the grave with Season 6, the dead are still 'walking' in Call of Duty. Giving us one last hurrah ahead of Black Ops 6, an impressive Battle Pass and shop rotation includes crossovers with Halloween, Terrifier, The Walking Dead, and more.
Alongside the nightmarish Alone Operator as some twisted homage to Task Force 141, the designers have really cooked with their TWD collab. Although we originally mocked the team for its inaccurate lore, the Daryl Dixon Operator bundle and upcoming rewards for the Road to Terminus event are already a hit.
Call of Duty fans love 'fire' Terminus camo
If spending 2400 CoD Points (equivalent to $20) on a Daryl skin isn't your thing, you'll definitely want be to grinding the Road to Terminus event. From Wednesday, September 25 until Wednesday, October 2, you'll be able to earn free rewards based on AMC's hit series.
The standout is the reactive Terminus camo, which looks like a map and then quickly burns away. While not the most relevant part of TWD lore, Terminus appeared way back in Season 4 of the series as a supposed utopia that was actually run by cannibals. Still, we love a reactive camo...and so do you.
One fan cheered, "This one is pure fire!! 🔥," while another added, "That’s a killer design! Definitely grinding for this in Warzone," and a third said, "Finally making every event camo yall release reactive again, finally." Not everyone was happy, though - namely because none of the Season 6 designs won't be useable in Black Ops 6.
A disgruntled gamer grumbled, "F**king hate it when Activision launches the good shit at the Last Season 1 Month Before a New COD Title Releases 😡." Another unhappy fan added, "Why did they decide to bring out the really good camos at this game end life cycle?"
There's no denying that Sledgehammer is cooking at the moment, but with this, there's the feeling that it unfairly saved the best until last. The beloved Carry Forward feature isn't returning for Black Ops 6, meaning these skins are being locked out of the next CoD.
Activision has made a big point about how you can still use them in Warzone and MW3 multiplayer, but with many refusing to jump into the battle royale given its recent state, it's a shame that these 'fire' skins likely aren't long for this world. Then again, a free camo is a free camo, so get grinding.
