Sledgehammer Games' habit of implementing small maps into Call of Duty has been one that has been valiantly praised as of late.
So off the back of the success of Shipment, Rust, Meat, and Stash House, the Modern Warfare 3 developers are dipping back into their archives and are set to pull out one of their most popular concoctions of the recent era.
Das Haus is returning to the series, and with it will come a completely fresh look based on Highrise.
Das Haus gets a new makeover for Modern Warfare 3
The heavily-popular Das Haus map from Vanguard is primed and ready for another stint in a leading Sledgehammer Games title.
But this year, Das Haus will be getting quite the makeover inspired by Highrise.
While the layout will stay the same, or at least almost identical, the design is being transported to a skyscraper "just southwest of the building hosting the Highrise Multiplayer map".
Here, players will get that typical three-laned feel to Das Haus, just in a brighter location and with a few more glimpses of enemies across the map.
Highrise will be visible from Das Haus in MW3
As per the Call of Duty blood, Das Haus Remastered and Highrise are practically neighbours, and those who will be jumping onto the new map will see some stark similarities, such as the cranes and sky-lifted platforms on the outskirts of the map to jump on.
Those in "Orange spawn" will also be able to see Highrise over their shoulders.
This also beckons the question as to whether Das Haus was actually in Al Mazrah too, just nobody had noticed, given that Highrise's multiplayer map was also found atop a skyscraper there.
Highrise-influenced or not though, you won't have too much time for skyscraper bird watching when Das Haus does arrive, as akin to the other tiny maps, it will be all guns blazing.
