The Christmas spirit is still in full force, and Kojima Productions and Epic Games have teamed up to deliver a free present, allowing Epic Games Store users to download Death Stranding for free for a limited time.

Death Stranding Made Free On The Epic Store

While the Epic Games Store still has a long way to go in its fight for becoming the dominant PC storefront, the frequent free games have allowed many users to rack up quite a library of titles. Now, you can even add Death Stranding to the mix.

Epic has already offered over 60 free games this year, with titles such as XCOM 2, Borderlands 3, Metro Last Light Redux, and more being claimed by tonnes of players. The store doesn't have the userbase or features of its main competitor Steam, but the amount of free games is hard to pass up and has allowed many to build up a library of games without spending a single penny.

Like all the previous games Epic has offered for free, you have a limited time to claim it. The offer is set to run out on Boxing Day at 4 pm GMT (11 am EST/8 am PST), so if you're reading this, click the link here to quickly get your extra present.

What Is Death Stranding?

Death Stranding is the most recent game from the mind of Hideo Kojima, though it's not the most widely-appealing game for various reasons and is uniquely experimental for an AAA title. It sees you travelling across a post-apocalyptic USA delivering packages and reconnecting the various regions while dealing with the hazards of the environment and paranormal creatures.

This gift also comes just after Death Stranding 2 was announced at The Game Awards 2022 for the PlayStation 5, along with a film adaption that's in development, meaning it may just be the beginning for Kojima's next big franchise.
