Destiny 2 fans beg Bungie to make change to Pathfinder system

Destiny's new Pathfinder system is great, but Bungie doesn't make it easy to find and you may be missing out on rewards.

It's a good time to be a Destiny fan right now. The Final Shape somehow met or even surpassed expectations, and while Act 1 of Episode Echoes felt a little like it ended too abruptly, Bungie will let players get through Act 2 at their own pace without timegating.

One of the best new additions for this upcoming year of Destiny is the Pathfinder system, which offers bite-sized rewards that help you earn a new Prime Engram or variations of the Ergo Sum exotic sword. That is if you can find it.

Fans want Bungie to make Pathfinder more visible

Over on the Destiny subreddit, one user noted that while they'd been completing the Pale Heart Pathfinder rewards track, they had no idea there was an overarching one for Vanguard, Crucible, or Gambit activities.

While the Pale Heart one is pretty central when you look on the map screen, the other Pathfinder is buried in the corner of the UI, or a button press away.

Some players suggested it be attached to the Quest tab, while others thanked Bungie for letting them track Pathfinder objectives via the Ghost menu - albeit with that leading to plenty of quests piling up and making the system unwieldy.

Some were more cynical.

"It feels intentional that it's largely hidden, which is in line with the idea it's largely a convoluted bright dust (and possibly XP) nerf," one commenter said. "Bungie are far too talented, and have way too much data, to accidentally make a system that's hard to see, not what players wanted, and has a negative impact on free-to-earn currency."

Whatever the case, it's worth checking on your progression if you haven't already - you might be missing some high-level gear to help you crack the Power Cap.
