Having followed in the footsteps of some of his streamer friends, Jeremy "Disguised Toast" Wang has been getting quite involved in esports as of late.

The content creator best known for Among Us and other puzzle titles has joined Charlie "Cr1TiKaL" White and Ludwig Ahgren (Founder and Co-owners of Moist Esports, respectively), in sporting esports teams this last year - specifically heading to Riot Games' titles like VALORANT.

But having been in the esports scene for a number of months with his DSG organisation, Disguised Toast has revealed that he's set for a massive financial loss through his esports teams.

DSG first entered VALORANT with a pick-up team made of female streamers like Kyedae "Kyedae" Alicia Shymko and pros to feature in the Game Changers program.

Toast then branched out into the second-tier VCT competition by picking up arguably the greatest player in the world in Jacob "yay" Whittaker, who was kept out of the top-tier competition due to disputes with Cloud9.

But after these first few ventures and some future ideas, Toast has now revealed that Disguised is set to cost him just shy of a million dollars by the end of 2023, reporting a $992,350 net loss.

"Just got off a call with my accountant and apparently I'm gonna be spending twice as much as I expected for DSG," he said on Twitter.

So far, Toast has taken quite a similar approach to Moist Esports, where they aim to keep sponsorship at a contained level, but this could be set to change slightly as the org owner is planning on taking the forefront of the advertising.

"If you guys see an increase in sponsored posts from me these next few months, it's because I've literally said yes to every opportunity since each deal keeps DSG alive for another month," he added.

This monetary setback isn't stopping Disguised Toast, as he's already expanding his portfolio of teams into Riot Games' other blockbuster franchise esport in League of Legends, as he has recently signed a new team before making a jibe at the chance for them to play in the LCS amid the LCSPA strikes and walkout.
