From "clowns" to "s**t stains," to teammates. The arrival of Zack "Drazah" Jordan to Atlanta FaZe might be one of the most storied turns of events in Call of Duty history. Alas, they're now all singing off the same songsheet rather than flipping each other over the stage.

Atlanta FaZe has officially announced the signing of Drazah after three years on LA Thieves, ending one of the most fearsome rivalries in Call of Duty esports as enemies have laid their grievances to rest to form one of the scariest-looking teams ever.

But FaZe wasn't always going to be the destination for Drazah, as one of the CDL's hottest free agents, and now he's revealed why it was a "no-brainer" to snub the OpTic offer.

Drazah explains why he chose FaZe over OpTic

As LA Thieves prepare for a complete revamp this season, Drazah joined free agency alongside other flexes such as Daunte "Sib" Gray, and quickly became a target for the biggest two organisations in the league in OpTic and FaZe.

Drazah has now claimed that it was OpTic that made the first approach and he was seriously considering the move until FaZe swooped in. "I had the OpTic offer and I did think about it, but once FaZe hit me up a few days later I was kind of a no-brainer," he said on the talk show The Flank.

"The place top-three at every single event. That's their worst placing [since the CDL was formed]. To have that level of consistency, it's just a no-brainer."

"We had very high potential with OpTic, if I would have signed, but there was potential that we wouldn't be that consistent, so it made sense to go with a team that places top-three at every event, and honestly I think that I'm better than both of their previous fourths and I will be able to show up on Sundays and win championships."

Drazah opens up about settling FaZe rivalry by joining them

For years, Drazah has been head to head with FaZe, whether it was forcing them into petty squabbles online or unsettling them in Grand Finals with the double middle-finger signals across the stage.

So with Drazah now joining his rivals, he has now explained that the hatchet has been buried and that the hatchet barely existed in the first place.

"Most of my beef with them was in-game, and in-game means nothing to me. I'm very much a competitor and if I'm not on your team I'm talking shit to you. It helps me get in the mood and ready to play, and I think I play better when I have some beef with someone because it makes me want to beat them more," he added on The Flank

"At the end of the day, we're all trying to win, and we all believe that each other is the best chance to win." FaZe has become one of only two teams to confirm their rosters for the upcoming year, as Toronto Ultra secured the signing of Dylan "Envoy" Hannon earlier this week.
