Oh boy, you EA FC sweats could be in for quite the rebate.
With EA FC 24 being one of the harshest Ultimate Team games in the developers’ portfolio, players have been thirsty for high-rated cards and coins, and where better to earn them than the Champs Weekend League?
Well, some players couldn’t contain their need for better rewards and have been taking advantage of the Trickster+ Playstyle glitch, and now they might be in a world of trouble.
EA FC 24 removes Trickster+ mid-Weekend League
In the middle of the Weekend League, EA opted to remove the Trickster+ Playstyle, nerfing cards like Rolfo, Hansen, and Neymar.
The Playstyle would allow these players more creative skill moves and quicker executions of the usual tricks and flicks, making wingers and attacking midfielders much harder to stop in their tracks.
But given the abuse, and reported circumstances of "every single Champs game being ruined" due to the glitch, EA removed Tickster+ temporarily.
On October 20, EA tweeted (Posted, via X), "We have temporarily removed the Trickster+ PlayStyle from Ultimate Team Player Items, they now have Trickster instead.
"Once this issue has been addressed in a future Title Update, we'll be looking to add Trickster+ back to applicable Player Items."
EA FC 24 reportedly could ban players for Trickster+ exploit
Despite its removal, many players had already used this move to their advantage to knock up some significant progress on the Champs ladder, securing massive rewards.
However, according to renowned leaker "FutSheriff", EA could be taking retrospective action.
The community figure took to Twitter (X) to say, "I've heard they will be banning several people who abused it. Enjoy your ban," before inserting a rat emoji.
FutSheriff's post did come an hour before the Playstyle was removed though, and could have just been a ploy to stop players using it in Champs matches until it was.
Still, when Trickster+ does finally come back into play, you might want to keep a close eye on your account status if you've been on the grind using the exploit.
