There are fewer things more infuriating in EA FC 24 at the moment than being all tied up in a thrilling draw, just for your opponent to switch off their consoles just as you're about to take the lead.

The game-leaving strategy is as old as time, but with the launch of EA FC 24, players are ditching their games more often than not, leaving loyal players fuming.

Now, EA FC 24 players are calling out the devs to get this "toxicity" out of the game.

Previously, EA has ensured that players are less affected by rage quits by making it so win streaks aren't broken, but fans are beginning to feel like that's not enough anymore.

In one new instance, content creator "Nick28T" found himself through on goal early on in a level game only to be hacked down by the opposition, resulting in a penalty and a red card. With 83 minutes and pen in hand, the likelihood was that Nick28T would comfortably win the game.

However, the opponent was allowed to pause the game and quit, in a tale all too familiar with most EA FC 24 players, which meant that the streamer was not awarded a win for his efforts.

"EA let the guy pause and quit before I can even take the pen... So I get nothing from the game," he explained on Twitter (X), before landing a rant.

"PATHETIC toxic community is REWARDED by the coding that EA keeps in the game," he added.

EA FC 24 players want to change how in-game pauses work to prevent rage quits

Having persisted with this for some years, EA FC 24 players now want a change, by either not allowing pauses before set-pieces or by simply awarding the win to players when an opponent quits.

"In every other competitive game, in every other sports game, if someone forfeits, the person in the game gets the result. You NOT HAVING THIS JUST MAKES THE FIFA COMMUNITY BE TOXIC," Nick28T continued.

The problem with dishing out wins is that disconnection issues could occur when playing on different servers, where discrepancies would then come into play.

But other fans simply suggested not allowing pauses before a penalty or free kick, which would then at least cut this problem down significantly by allowing the player a chance to go 1-0 up.

Of course, this system still has its flaws, but it might be a necessary commitment for EA to make.
