As FUTTIES brings EA FC 24 to a close, the next annual instalment of the football series is almost upon us.
FC 25 is just around the corner, and as we showcased in our preview, there's a whole host of improvements for would-be managers.
Channelling all players' inner Pep Guardiola (or Sean Dyche depending on your style), EA FC 25 is revamping the changing room systems with new Player Roles, Smart Tactics, and more.
FC 25 revamps Player Roles with over 50 positions
Player roles are really getting the Pep treatment, as FC 25 is relinquishing some positions in favour of more "roles" that will see even more creativity.
The position of Wing Back, for example, has been removed in favour of a Full Back role "Attacking Full-Back"

Players will have specific Roles in which they flourish, such as Vinicius Jr who will excel as an Inside Forward LW but can also comfortably play as a Poacher ST and a Winger LW.
FC 25 finally changes the D-Pad in-game tactics
For years, the D-Pad tactics have been rather pointless, aside from the occasional Team Press, but FC 25 is changing this too, allowing for more influence from a manager to change the game.
Instead of having the Ultra-Attacking slider, you will now have more custom tactics on the D-Pad, where you can name specific styles and change from an all-out-attack formation to a park-the-bus.
The D-Pad will also have substitutions, which will allow you to quickly get a bench player warmed up and put into action without having to hit the pause menu.
Other changes such as set pieces are now much more creative, as FC 25 puts you in charge of the managerial seat, rather than a 12th player.
