In fantastic news, EA Sports have just announced a new collaboration with the National Women's Soccer League and the National Women's Soccer League Players Association, bringing an exciting selection of new clubs to FIFA 23.

This comes on the cusp of the new NWSL season, giving you the chance to play as all of your favourite teams and recreate some of the season's biggest and most dramatic moments.

New NWSL clubs added to FIFA 23

All 12 NWSL clubs will be added to FIFA 23, marking the first time that they have appeared in the FIFA series, and video games in general. Here are all of the clubs included in the exciting new partnership:

  • Angel City FC
  • Chicago Red Stars
  • Houston Dash
  • Kansas City Current
  • NY/NJ Gotham FC
  • North Carolina Courage
  • OL Reign
  • Orlando Pride
  • Portland Thorns FC
  • Racing Louisville FC
  • San Diego Wave FC
  • Washington Spirit

You will be able to use these teams and their respective players in the FIFA 23 Kick Off game mode, meaning that you'll be able to bend the rules a little if you wish, bring it to the street in VOLTA, or duke it out in classic format for all of the traditionalists.

They will be joining the already wide selection of FIFA 23 women's clubs that are growing year on year, and hopefully, it will not be too long now until EA integrates all of the biggest clubs in the world into the game.

FIFA 23 NWSL clubs release date

The NWSL clubs will be making their way over to FIFA 23 on March 15, so you've not got long to wait now until you're able to get started. There is unfortunately still no news regarding the integration of women's clubs and players into Ultimate Team, but hopefully, the ever-expanding repertoire of teams will result in that soon.

Make sure to check out the trailer here for the full details of the EA Sports and NWSL partnership.
