Elden Ring may be one of the most critically adored games of the last few years, and FromSoftware's new greatest achievement - but that won't save it from the typical open-world jank.

Even the greatest games of all time can't be technically perfect, with some exploits being found after launch that can't simply be patched out. And especially when it comes to games so massive in scope as Elden Ring, naturally, there are some odd moments that pull the player out of their immersion in the Lands Between.

And now, one glitch is letting players soar the skies on horseback.

Elden Ring Glitch Lets You Ride Your Horse Into The Clouds

A new glitch has been discovered in Elden Ring that lets you ride your horse across the skies of the Lands Between.

The glitch was discovered by YouTube channel EZScape clips & VODs, sharing a video that details exactly what players need to do in order to take to the skies - but it means you're going to have to sacrifice your steed to do it.

The video shows the player riding back and forth across a notch in a mountain, before hopping up onto a ledge after ditching the horse, then re-summoning them to ride off into the air. It's a funny glitch, and one that will actually likely have a lot of great in-game applications for players hoping to get to a location without being bothered by foes.

How Do You Perform The Flying Horse Glitch In Elden Ring?

In order to leave as though your planet needs you, you're going to need to go to the north-west ledge of the Bestial Sanctum, riding uphill onto the ledge before dismounting from the horse in order to make the final jump onto the area that you'll need to stand on.

Once you're there, call your horse with a Flask of Crimson Tears, hop on, and ride off into the fog. Who knows why this works, but the only important thing is that it does.

Glitches like this are fairly common in games like this, and not even Elden Ring is safe from big glitches. Still, it's not exactly a bad thing, as it means players are going to be able to traverse the game much easier now - and that's a win in our book.
