FromSoftware
Fans are already going nuts in Elden Ring, and it's hard to blame them.
When players are offered such a vast and impressive playground as The Lands Between, who are we to judge if players want to just fart around for a bit? The game has already been beaten in under an hour, and the game's long list of secrets gets longer by the day, with players poking around in each of the FromSoftware magnum opus' dingy corners.
But, it turns out that doing so has a price. Some players are getting much more than they bargained for, and they're not sure why.
Elden Ring Is Banning Players Out Of Nowhere
Some Elden Ring fans are reporting that they're getting banned for no reason, with the game citing that they're engaging in "inappropriate behaviour".
A huge wave of bans seems to have gone out to fans across the globe, so widespread were the reports that many players thought that the game was suffering a simple server outage, and now players are sharing their experience of being banned, supposedly for no reason.
Players are taking to Reddit and Twitter to claim they've been pulled from the game completely, without doing anything to deserve it.
What's Next For The Banned Elden Ring Players?
Honestly, there's been very little correspondence from FromSoftware on the matter, but we've got our fingers crossed that the mistake (if it is a mistake, after all) will soon be remedied and rolled back. We expect that this is a simple error, and the fanbase of Elden Ring seems to concur - so it's likely this will be taken care of.
The game has been pretty airtight aside from this problem, so with all things considered, Elden Ring has had a strong launch, especially as it's the highest-selling game outside of the Call of Duty and FIFA franchises since Red Dead Redemption 2. To be honest, we reckon the game is going to be just fine, even if it boxes out a few fans.
