We've been waiting longer than we'd care to remember for Elden Ring's upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and with a lot of people fizzing with excitement, it's hard to blame them.

The mere fact that more Elden Ring is on the way would usually be enough, but as the first trailer for the DLC unveiled new weapons, strategies, bosses and worlds to explore, fans realised they weren't in for a regular expansion - they were getting a whole new experience.

We've seen a little of what Shadow of the Erdtree has to offer, but there are still plenty of questions left unanswered. Now, we've been lucky enough to get a glimpse at the DLC's narrative.

FromSoftware reveals Shadow of the Erdtree's story trailer

After posting a simple tweet earlier on May 21 that announced a new trailer would be dropping in a few hours, FromSoftware has finally revealed the full Shadow of the Erdtree narrative trailer.

We won't spoil anything for you, as it all lies in wait in the trailer - so take a look and see what you'll get to learn over the course of the expansion.

The DLC is set to launch on June 21, and as it's only a month away, you might want to start brainstorming your build for the expansion. Shadow of the Erdtree comes with an all-new levelling system that, in many ways, sends you back to square one.

There will be a lot of peril to deal with, as director Hidetaka Miyazaki has revealed that the controversial poison swamps are making a return in the brand-new areas of the game. The clock is ticking down to Shadow of the Erdtree, so we hope you're ready to do it all again.
