Fallen for the trapped chest and need to know how to escape Sellia Crystal Tunnel in Elden Ring? Yeah… we did too. If you fall into the trap laid by the chest in the Dragon-Burnt Ruins in Limgrave, then you'll be teleported to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel at the far side of the map. This isn't the last trapped chest you'll find in Elden Ring, but it is one of the earliest you'll find and can cause some severe difficulty. Want to know how to get back to Limgrave? Here's our guide on how to escape Sellia Crystal Tunnel in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring Sellia Crystal Tunnel Location
If you open the map when you get teleported to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel, you'll see that you're over by the eastern border. This is a region called Caelid, which is full of immensely tough enemies and when you do eventually make it outside, you'll find the Scarlet Rot has taken over a lot of the landscape.
Elden Ring Sellia Crystal Tunnel: How To Escape
When you awaken in Sellia Crystal Tunnel, you'll be inside a small shack and your respawn point has been set there. Unfortunately, this means you can't sacrifice yourself to an enemy and awaken back in Limgrave.
Exit the shack and you'll find a tall skeletal enemy on the roof, with a staff in hand that can shoot projectiles at you. Start sneaking immediately, then leave the shack and head right through the doorway. If you keep sneaking, the enemies dotted around mining won't bother you, and if all goes to plan, the skeletal foe won't spot you either.

Follow the slope all the way round, past the boarded up doorway and through the tunnel in the south-east corner. Descend the ladder and you'll find a welcome sight - a Lost Grace. Rest at it, grab the Rot Grease from the corpse down a darkened tunnel, then turn around and head to the exit down the other path.

Now you're out of the mine, but it doesn't mean you're home free yet. Ideally, you'll already have your trusty Torrent, but if not, this next part will take a bit longer. In order to fast travel back to Limgrave, you need to find yourself another Lost Grace.
Jump aboard your horse (or on foot if you don't have it yet) and go down the slope in front of you, leading away from the mine entrance. Sneak or rush past the huge, rotund enemy that looks like a big bundle of rocks and tree stumps, and follow the shoreline to the lake south/south-east.
A rotten stray will try to fight you and it's much more manageable than the other enemies so far, so you can either kill it or keep going past it. Killing it will allow you to loot the corpse in the ruined building behind it, which has the Rotten Stray Ashes.
If you continue on, you'll enter the Swamp of Aeonia, which has a Lost Grace further along the shore. Discover and interact with it, then you can finally fast travel back to whence you came.
