Hype for the next Grand Theft Auto is through the roof, and we're no closer to knowing when we'll see something official about the game itself.

The automotive adventure's leaks indicated that the development of GTA 6 was in a good way, and you'd think that Rockstar Games would have something to show us by now. To be fair, we could all just be making assumptions.

Although it might not be the GTA leak we were looking for, it seems something could indeed be coming - and fans are either going to love or hate it. Get ready to jump off the Battle Bus because the next big Fortnite collaboration might be on the way.

Epic Games teases GTA x Fortnite

The latest survey from Epic Games has officially gone out to fans, and as pointed out by iFireMonkey, there are some interesting questions in there when it comes to the cosmetics that players want to see in Fortnite.

Epic Games tends to insist that the surveys sent out to players are wholly theoretical, with a game's appearance on the long list of franchises that players might want to see represented on the island not necessarily meaning that the crossover is happening.

Still, some have twigged that games that have appeared in surveys have arrived in Epic's battle royale favourite - so there's a possibility.

Both GTA 6 and GTA" Vice City were included in the list of video games that fans could want to see represented, with specific characters Trevor Phillips, Franklin Clinton, and Carl "CJ" Johnson appearing too.

Will Rockstar bring GTA to Fortnite?

It's hard to tell if Rockstar will actually dedicate itself to bringing GTA characters to Fortnite, as truth be told, that sounds like the sort of thing that GTA itself would poke fun at. Then again, Rockstar and Epic seem to have a strong relationship, what with the Epic Games Store previously offering GTA V for free.

We should note that the list is truly massive, and even if Fortnite ran for the next 50 years, it would likely never get through them all. Other big IPs given the nod are Fallout, Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon, and more. We'd love to see Pikachu take over the map, but that one seems particularly unlikely.

Whether Trevor and the rest of these career criminals will glide down remains to be seen, but there's little doubt that fans would eat the crossover up. After all, if we can have Bender from Futurama and the cast of Alien, Tommy Vercetti doesn't seem like a far cry away.
