How To Watch Epic Games State Of Unreal 2022: Stream, Start Date And Time, More
Epic Games has planned a whole event providing fans with updates and announcements about Unreal Engine which will be livestreamed online.

We can expect to see some exciting things during Epic Games' State of Unreal event and just exactly what the future has in store for us with the powerful, and ubiquitous, Unreal Engine.
Unreal is the gaming engine behind the creation of a plethora of games. Since its launch in 1998, there have been a number of franchises that have been built using the Unreal Engine, including Epic Games' own Unreal, from which the engine owes its name to its battle royale sensation Fortnite. But it's not just Epic Games titles that are built using Unreal Engine, games such as the Bioshock series, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, among literally hundreds of other titles are all created on its foundations.
And it is not just games, the flexible technology is also used in filmmaking, and increasingly in augmented and virtual reality.
And there is clearly more to come, as, over the course of a whopping four-hour livestream, we can expect to see a number of Epic Games reps revealing improvements coming to the Unreal Engine. But, when does the event start. What can we expect to see? How can you watch it? Here's everything you need to know about the State of Unreal event.
When Is The State Of Unreal Event?
Epic Games will be hosting the State of Unreal event at 4pm (GMT) on April 5.
But, buckle up because with the final event beginning at 19:30pm, it's expected that the whole event will last for a minimum of four hours. So, be prepared for a lengthy livestream.
State Of Unreal Event Schedule
There are a number of talks lined up throughout the four-hour livestream. According to the Unreal Engine website, the event begins with the State of Unreal Keynote. Followed by The Matrix Awakens: Creating a World at 17:30pm, The Matrix Awakens: Generating a World at 18:30pm, and concluding with Creating your first game in Unreal Engine at 19:30pm.
Some of the speakers who will be making an appearance during the event, include Epic Games' Founder and CEO, Tim Sweeney, as well as CTO Kim Libreri.
How To Watch State Of Unreal 2022 Event
The State of Unreal event will be livestreamed on both YouTube and Twitch.
Of course, the stream isn't up there on the channel just yet. However, fans who are eager to get the latest from Unreal Engine can check out one of its most recent uploads "Learning Motion Capture with Faceware".
There are clearly some exciting things ahead for Unreal Engine. Many of our favourite AAA games continue to level up as the Unreal Engine improves with Fortnite becoming the showcase for much of the new technology, with the battle royale recently moving to the cutting edge Unreal Engine 5 with the release of Chapter 3 Season 1.
It's clear that the engine's popularity is only increasing with full-time developers and it's also proved just as popular among fans wanting to create their own game, with some players even giving Among Us an Unreal Engine build.
