The ePremier League and Electronic Arts Inc. are gearing up for the 2023/24 season, with several significant changes in store, including gameplay on the all-new EA SPORTS FC 24 platform and a two-weekend final structure.
Competitors in this season's ePremier League will be competing on the newly launched FC™ 24. Besides the glory of the title, teams will be playing for a share of the £100,000 prize pool. Winning also opens the door to the UEFA eChampions League and the FC Pro World Championships.
New game, new format
For the first time, the ePremier League Finals will stretch over two weekends. The initial face-offs will be on 20 and 21 January, with the top four clubs progressing to the Grand Final. The remaining teams will clash again on 23 March, culminating in the Grand Final on the subsequent day.
Online qualification begins in November, with specific dates differing for each club. The format for the Finals has each club presenting one player per console, battling in 1vs1 matches against other the clubs' representatives.
Premier League Chief Commercial Officer, Will Brass, stated, “as the ePremier League enters its sixth season, we are excited to once again provide fans with the opportunity to represent their favourite Premier League club in an elite esports tournament.”
He also highlighted the distribution of the finals over two weekends and its global accessibility via digital platforms.
Champions of past and present
The previous season saw Leeds United's Olle "Ollelito" Arbin and Tom Stokes take the championship. Reflecting on their victory, Tom Stokes commented, “Winning the 2023/24 ePremier League and becoming champion alongside Olle was a dream come true [...] I’m aiming for back-to-back wins.”

Notable players, such as Donovan ‘“Tekkz” Hunt, who recently transferred to Manchester City and had previously won the eChampions League in 2020, are set to participate.
Tekkz conveyed his anticipation, stating, “This is one of my favourite competitions in the esports calendar and I’m buzzing to represent Manchester City this season.”
