Unless you've been locked in a Vault-Tec vault, chances are you've seen a lot about the Fallout franchise recently. Aside from the next-gen update to 2015's Fallout 4, we've had Fallout London delayed, a resurgence for Fallout 76, and (obviously) the success of Amazon's live-action Fallout series.

Although we'd always suspected that a live-action adaptation of Bethesda's apocalyptic adventure would do well, we were unprepared for how big Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy's series would be. Fallout was quickly given the green light for Season 2, and while that's likely a few years away, Fallout Fever is still everywhere.

Fortnite fans demand a Fallout crossover

Even though Fallout 5 feels like it's still a million miles away, Fallout's video game legacy continues. With this boom in popularity, Fortnite fans are asking Epic Games to get in on the hype.

The internet is awash with artwork and concepts for a Fallout x Fortnite crossover. Fan artist DEVININK shared their idea for a collab that ties into Amazon's series with the likeness of Ella Purnell's Lucy in her Vault Dweller suit, as well as Aaron Moten's Maximus in his Power Armor.

We're not sure why DEVININK has forgotten about Walton Goggins' Cooper Howard/The Ghoul, especially as a Ghoul skin would sell like hotcakes. One fan cheered, "insta cop," while another added, "I was all excited until I realized it’s not real 😕."

A third said, "It’s cool but I’d like to add to this a idea an alternative style for the characters that makes them looking cartoony like the vault boy ( that or the ghoul)." Even if it's just a concept, we know we'd be throwing our V-Bucks at a Fortnite crossover.

Fallout x Fortnite is just a pipe dream (for now)

The internet is flooded with similar concepts, as someone shared their own for Vault-Dweller Jones, and others showed off everything from loading screens to the idea that Chapter 5 Season 3's rumoured apocalypse theme could lend itself to a Fallout.

The fact that Epic Games teamed up with Bethesda favourite The Elder Scrolls has sparked hope that the publisher's other big IP could soon make the leap into the Fortniteverse. Fortnite favourite ShiinaBR speculated we could be getting a crossover to celebrate the next-gen upgrade, but alas, it never happened.

Someone pointed out you can have "Fallout at home" with the True Explorers Set, which looks like a knock-off Fallout collab. For now, this is as close as we're getting to these two gaming giants joining forces.
