Fan-favourite WW2 game mode leaked for Modern Warfare 3

World War 2 might not have been everyone's cup of tea, but it did have one positive game mode that's apparently coming to Modern Warfare 3 in 2023.

For all of its flaws as arguably the worst Call of Duty game of all time, World War 2 did actually have some silver linings.

Specifically, World War 2's game modes, including the 1v1 duelling in the headquarters, which sparked the Gunfight mode and even the Gulag as we know it. They were highly praised, even if the gunplay was nowhere near up to par.

Now though, with Sledgehammer in the front seat of the tank for Modern Warfare 3 in 2023, leakers have now claimed that the fan-favourite game mode, "War," will be coming.

Modern Warfare 3 leakers claim War mode is coming back

According to leakers, the same alias who claims a perk overhaul is imminent alongside the return of Ninja, War will be a game mode in Modern Warfare 3, as Sledgehammer is sharing its tricks.

The game mode consists of teams working together to both attack and defend objectives, akin to Demolition, but with an emphasis on progression with waves of objectives to get through.

World War 2 fans appeared to love the game mode played on custom-made maps, which made for intriguing team-plays, with overwatch support for SMGs being an optimal style.

Gameplay leaks emerge for Modern Warfare 3

War is set to join Ninja as a feature that is being re-introduced to the series, and it now seems that even more positive leaks are emerging surrounding multiplayer.

According to the same leaker, BobNetworkUK, classic mini-maps will also be coming back to Call of Duty in Modern Warfare 3. If this is the case, we could see red dots showing up when an un-silenced weapon fires.

These gameplay features have long been called for by Modern Warfare 2 fans, so although they are a year late, it breathes positivity for the next Call of Duty instalment and a (hopeful) rebirth of the CoDverse.
