Division Rivals is already proving to be a massive thorn in the side of Ultimate Team players in FC 25, having significantly increased the rewards threshold from years past.
But the pain of grinding through double the matches is only heightened by the tricky Evolution challenges, such as keeping clean sheets or winning by a certain margin.
So, imagine players' disdain when wee tell you that some of your hard-earned Evolutions are being deleted in FC 25.
FC 25 players report broken Evolutions
As of October 1, players have started reporting that a number of Evolution players have become defunct. Popular players like Joe Gomez and Endrick have lost their progress, as it appears that the Ultimate Edition Evolution has been broken.
Others have claimed that this Evo has now been removed from their menus, having not used it to upgrade a player yet, suggesting that the entire stat-pad has been removed.
Reports from players suggest that the Ultimate Edition Evo was creating cards that were too powerful as the statistic cap wasn't working properly, meaning that you might not get your upgraded player back at all, at least not with their previous stats.
For most players, this specific Evo was part of a chain of upgrades that pushed their favourite cards into the meta, such as the 84-rated Gomez with a whopping 89 pace. It's quite the setback if you are reliant on this player to keep up with the whippets in high Division Rivals leagues or even the first weekend of FUT Champions.
Usually, EA communicates such faults through its Direct Communication X account, but nothing has been posted yet regarding the Evolutions.
With the Weekend League opening, maybe this might be a blessing in disguise as if you can't have them, nobody can, setting everyone back to an even playing field and making usual Gold cards that bit better.
