It's no secret that Modern Warfare 2's arsenal of weapons has been struggling since the MW3 integration into Warzone. The newer weapons just seem to have better stats in the majority of cases, meaning they're completely dominating the meta.
Picks like the Pulemyot 762, AMR9, HRM-9, and RAM-7 are simply better than the classic M4 and M13B. However, that doesn't mean MW2 has nothing to offer, it's just a lot of competitors are looking in the wrong places.
For WhosImmortal, there's one specific OG Battle Rifle that deserves far more attention than it is getting - thanks to the gun's absurdly long-range TTK.

According to WhosImmortal, the FTAC Recon is a forgotten BR that needs to be on your loadout list in Season 1 Reloaded.
The "high skill" weapon has an impressive 716ms TTK at 40 to 50m, meaning it has an "insane" damage range and time-to-kill.
This gun specialises in long-range combat, and with the Bruen Heavy Support equipped, you'll have the stability to land those all-important chest and headshots. Of course, the elephant in the room is the extremely small 15 Round Mag, which cannot be expanded further.
While definitely a downside, it's not a limiting factor if you're a sharpshooter who can consistently land your shots. Not everyone will be able to use the FTAC Recon effectively, but if you're confident in your aim, it could be a game-changer for you.
How popular is the FTAC Recon in Warzone?
Part of the fun in Warzone is finding hidden gems that almost no one is using in the current meta. Well, the FTAC Recon is certainly that, sporting an unbelievably low pick rate of lost 0.15% according to WZ Stats.
To put it in perspective, only nine guns are used less than the FTAC Recon, and three of them are pistols. This weapon is the definition of an underrated, and if you're craving an MW2 gun, look no further.
