Fortnite Drake's Map: What Is Drake's Map?
Drake's Map is a brand-new item introduced to Fortnite as part of the Fortnite X Uncharted collaboration. In celebration of the recently released Uncharted movie, Epic Games has remastered the Buried Treasure item that existed back in Season 8 of Chapter 1.
Drake's Map works nearly identical to the Buried Treasure and Fortnite Treasure Maps from long ago. Finding one of Drake's Maps will send you on a hunt to uncover a buried Treasure Chest containing a mass amount of high-tier loot.
According to Epic Games, Drake's Map will stick around until the end of Chapter 3 Season 1, at which point it will be vaulted.
Fortnite Drake's Map: Where To Find Drake's Map
Unlike most items in the Fortnite loot pool, Drake's Map exists solely as floor loot. You will not find Drake's Map in Chests or Supply Drops. While this fact leaves us with fewer opportunities to find Drake's Map, at least we can narrow down our search of where to look.
Fortunately, Drake's Map seems to be pretty common out in the wild. And since they only appear as floor loot, the maps are easy to spot. Keep an eye out for glowing gold items on the ground in plain sight.
In the end, finding a copy of Drake's Map will come down to a little bit of luck. There's no one location where you're guaranteed to find Drake's Map. Instead, you'll need to wander around and search the floor loot scattered around the island until you come across one of these rebranded Fortnite treasure maps.

Fortnite Drake's Map: How To Collect Treasure Using Drake's Map
If collecting the powerful loot stuffed inside of hidden Treasure Chests wasn't enough incentive, there is a Week 12 Seasonal quest to collect treasure using Drake's Map.
As it turns out, finding Drake's Map is probably the most difficult part of this whole process. Once you have access to a map, the rest is relatively easy.
With Drake's Map in hand, simply follow the dotted line presented in front of you. If the location of the treasure is a good bit away, you'll notice a gold-coloured beam in the sky essentially pinging the site. At the end of the trail, you'll come across a large black "X marks the spot" symbol. Approach the X and use your Harvesting Tool to dig out the Treasure Chest.
Treasure Chests from Drake's Maps are absolutely loaded riches, including up to four Legendary rarity weapons. Locate the treasure with Drake's Map and dig it out and you'll receive not only top-level loot but a reward of 25,000 XP as well.
You are now well educated on Drake's Map. Live out your Uncharted fantasies as Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer while you're out collecting treasure using Drake's Map.
