With Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 on the way, fans think they've figured out who The Wanderer is and how they'll play into the rumoured Marvel-themed season as Doctor Doom.

Is it just us, or does this season of Fortnite feel particularly long? We've been driving around the desert in our Mad Max-themed cars and slowly grinding our Pirates of the Caribbean quests for what feels like an eternity, but finally, the end is in sight.
Epic Games has pencilled in April 16 for the end of Chapter 5 Season 3, and after that, it looks like we're heading into the superhero smorgasbord of another Marvel season. Given that Chapter 2 Season 4's Nexus War is held as one of the game's best, we're more than psyched for another full-blown comic book caper.

If you've been racing around the Chapter 5 Season 3 map, you might've noticed the shadowy figure of The Wanderer. This hooded figure vanishes as soon as you get close to them, leaving plenty of intrigue about who's under the hood. Thankfully, fans think they've figured it out and how The Wanderer will play into Chapter 5 Season 4.
On the Fortnite Reddit, players are guessing that The Wanderer is actually Doctor Victor von Doom. The archnemesis of the Fantastic Four featured prominently in Chapter 3 Season 4, while a leaked Fortnite roadmap claimed he was going to be the poster boy of Chapter 5 Season 4. Although we wrote off that leak, we'll admit we were wrong.
Eagle-eyed fans will be able to spot The Wanderer as part of Megalo Don's crew in the "Nitro Fusion Megalo Don" loading screen, while Megalo Don's radio reports explain how he wants to keep The Wanderer on his side, suggesting it's a villainous presence. All of this would fit with them being Doctor Doom.
Others agree that Victor is likely under the hood, with someone else pointing out how Doom has a similar cloak to The Wanderer in the likes of Secret Wars. Remember, that same God Emperor Doom variant was a selectable style for his Chapter 2 Season 4 skin.
Some weren't quite sold on the idea, with someone else suggesting, "I don't think its Dr. Doom. More likely to be Geno since he was ripped to pieces in Zero War. Also have seen some theories that its the Paradigm since she is MIA after Fractured." Several have also pointed out how the Magneto NPC claims he doesn't know who The Wanderer is, but he'd surely know who Doom is.
The Wanderer was first mentioned by the Oracle in Chapter 5 Season 2, and as Fortnite's expansive lore likes to plan ahead, it's clear they'll have a part to play moving forward. Well, unless Epic Games discards them like The Seven. While The Wanderer being Doom would fit neatly with another Marvel motherload, we'll have to wait and see what's in store.
