Fortnite's latest teasers hint at a Tesla Cybertruck collab, but with Elon Musk being a divisive celebrity, fans are less than impressed with the crossover.

Even as we 'motor' ahead to the rumoured Marvel-themed Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, there's still a little gas left in the tank for Season 3. Chapter 5 has been pretty divisive so far, with the automotive mayhem of the latest season splitting players firmly into two camps.

With accusations it's felt more like Rocket League than Fortnite, we've seen the devs struggle to balance its new vehicles. We've had nerfs and buffs, but even as the season heads into its swansong, there could be another vehicular surprise. Unfortunately, it's a crossover that most of you don't seem to want.

Fortnite gears up for Cybertruck crossover

A series of big Fortnite leakers like HYPEX claim a Cybertruck x Fortnite crossover is coming to the game. While we don't know exactly what it involves, we guess a souped-up version of the vehicle will be arriving on the map. From the artwork, it definitely looks like the Cybertruck logo.

We've already got a series of boss cars in Chapter 5 Season 3, so we can imagine the Cybertruck being another - just don't count on having to take out a pixelated Elon Musk before getting the keys. Beyond that, you can expect the usual corporate cash-in with Cybertruck-themed cosmetics costing a pretty penny in the shop.

Back in June, iFireMonkey leaked a Cybertruck bundle, which apparently includes a Double Agent Hush Outfit, Double Agent Stripe Back Bling, Double Agent Wildcard Outfit, and Double Agent Hard Case Back Bling. Although some are pleased that Tesla owner Musk isn't featured, the collab hasn't gone down well.

Responding to the news, one disgruntled gamer said, "First collab that makes me wish on this game's downfall." Another added, "Fortnite still trying to stay relevant💀," and a third said, "I speak for everyone when I say that we don’t care at all."

The rumoured Cybertruck crossover hasn't dropped yet, although it doesn't sound like it's going to be a popular bundle. In a season that's skipped out on a Mad Max crossover but given us Pirates of the Caribbean and now (potentially) a Cybertruck, it'll go down in history as one of Fortnite's wildest roadmaps.
