Epic Games' hit battle royale Fortnite is already the king of crossovers, and fresh rumours have suggested Devil May Cry and Avatar could be the next big collabs.

New rumours have suggested that Avatar and Devil May Cry could be among the next big crossovers to appear in Fortnite.
Epic Games’ popular battle royale Fortnite has featured some of the biggest pop culture icons of all time, from Dragon Ball’s Goku to Resident Evil’s Chris Redfield and even pop superstar Ariana Grande.
Because of this, the rumour mill is always churning out potential collaborations to get fans excited. Some of these never see the light of day, while others emerge months after being teased by leakers.
Devil May Cry and Avatar could be crash-landing in Fortnite
The latest crossover rumours suggest that both Devil May Cry and Avatar could be appearing in Fortnite in some way or another. This comes from a source who previously leaked the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and DOOM collabs.
Although it’s been four years since the last proper Devil May Cry game was released, there is a mobile game called Peak of Combat getting a worldwide release in January 2024, so that could tie in nicely with a collab. Even without that, though, Dante is enough of a gaming icon to get a collab at any time.
As for Avatar, the blockbuster movies seem to be back on track after a long break, with the next instalment due out in 2025, while the recently-released Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora showed off what the Na’vi look like in video game form. They'd fit in pretty well on Fortnite's sprawling island.
Of course, it’s important to remember that these are just rumours for now, so don’t get your hopes up and - as always - take everything with a pinch of salt.
Fortnite's multiverse continues to grow
Fortnite has long cemented itself as the king of crossovers, with a sprawling multiverse that includes everyone from The Terminator to Spider-Gwen and even streamers like Loserfruit and LazarBeam.
The current season features one of the most bizarre crossovers yet: A buff version of Family Guy's Peter Griffin.
It's also been rumoured that a Doctor Who crossover is on the way. At this point, it seems more like a matter of when than if your favourite characters will make an appearance in the Battle Pass or the Item Shop.
