Fortnite Rumoured For A Saw Crossover

Forget the fact that The Incredibles' curvaceous Elastigirl is set to arrive in Fortnite, there's an altogether different skin we're sure you'll all be wanting to save your V-Bucks for. With Fortnitemares 2024 just around the corner, we can't wait to see what tricks and treats Epic Games has up its sleeve.

Call of Duty has already unveiled its own sacrificial lamb in the form of Season 6's The Haunting event, but as Fortnite is never one to be left behind, it won't be long until its own demonic lineup is revealed. Following on from the likes of Michael Myers and Jack Skellington last year, we're excited to see who's rising from the grave next.

A Fortnite x Saw collab could finally be coming

Even though Fortnite's core demographic is typically younger than those who play something like CoD or Apex Legends, we've seen a recent shift toward more adult skins. Even though you can't play with an adorable LEGO Michael Myers in LEGO Fortnite, we've had crossovers with everything from Alien to The Walking Dead.

Still, while Dead by Daylight has a who's who of horror legends, we're not exactly expecting Pinhead to pop up as an NPC at Reckless Railways. Now, trusted Fortnite leakers claim that a Fortnite x Saw collab is coming. Although there's no release date, it's safe to assume that it's on the way for Fortnitemares 2024.

While we doubt we'll be seeing a likeness of Tobin Bell's John Kramer/Jigsaw in the shop, Billy the Puppet makes sense as the franchise's de facto mascot. Elsewhere, we could see Billy-ised versions of some Fortnite favourites available as part of a bundle. After all, how cute would a Saw variant Lil Whip be?

Fellow leaker Wensoing has apparently found a new file in the back of Fortnite, with it replicating the infamous "wanna play a game?" videos featuring Billy. Despite being unlikely bedfellows, fans are loving the idea of a crossover between the horror staple series and Fortnite.

One fan cheered, "We eating good this Fortnitemares 🙏," while another added, "I have been asking for this for a year. Fortnitemares is saved." Even though it probably won't be more than an Item Shop update, someone else concluded, "A Saw map would be insane."

Let's remember that as Saw XI is coming next year, the franchise is far from 'dead'. Horror hounds have been calling on Fortnite to embrace more adult crossovers, and being forced to chop off your own foot while trapped in a basement, they don't become much more horrific than that.
