Fortnite x The Boys crossover is the stuff of our bloody nightmares

A viral Fortnite x The Boys build has gone viral, putting the characters from Amazon's hit superhero series in the battle royale favourite and reminding us why we need an official crossover.

While some could accuse Fortnite of running out of ideas when it comes to pop culture crossovers, Epic Games continues to prove this isn't the case. In Chapter 5 Season 3 alone, we've had collabs with Pirates of the Caribbean, Deadpool & Wolverine, and even Tesla's Cybertruck (for better or for worse).

The problem is Fortnite's largely family-friendly aesthetic and the fact it's aimed at a younger playerbase. There's no blood, and somehow, eviscerating a jolly ice cream or blasting a zombified banana doesn't seem as bad. That's not to say we haven't seen more adult skins, with fans now pitching an X-rated crossover we'd all enjoy.

Fortnite x The Boys collab goes viral

Over on the FortniteBR subreddit, one fan shared GranbeFN's take on a Fortnite x The Boys crossover. Someone joked this is "The Lads", with cheap knockoffs of Homelander, A-Train, Black Noir, and Billy Butcher made with customisable skins. Still, it got us thinking about what an official collaboration would look like.

We've seen plenty of adult skins over the years, with the likes of the Xenomorph and Michael Myers immediately coming to mind. It's not like uber-violent TV shows haven't also made their way onto the map, with The Walking Dead arriving as part of Chapter 2: Season 8's Survivors in Arms Set.

Others loved the idea of the Supes of The Seven causing havoc in Fortnite, with one supporter cheering, "This is the most perfect thing I had ever seen a squad do😭😭😭." Another said, "I just finished The Boys and Gen V... I want a Billy Butcher skin soo bad. and a Black Noir...Hell i want all of them," and a third concluded. "I’m honestly surprised they didn’t release skins with the drop of Season 4."

Unfortunately, it feels like we might be waiting a while for The Boys to take flight in Fortnite. An Invincible crossover tied into the release of its own Season 2, and with The Boys having just wrapped Season 4, it doesn't make sense to drop one now. The XboxEra Podcast's Nick Baker previously said one was coming, but it's not happened yet.

We hope it's only a matter of time until we get to suit up in The Boys, and with Avatar the Last Airbender getting its own Mythic weapons, we can easily imagine Supe powers being part of an all-star showcase of Supes. After all, if it's good enough for Warzone, it's good enough for Fortnite.
