While it's fair to say that the big Fall Guys bubble has burst for many by now, Mediatonic's free-to-play platformer is still trying to prove its worth in 2024. With Epic Games buying the publishing rights in 2021, it was only a matter of time until we saw it cross over into the gaming giant that is Fortnite.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has definitely been an out-there one. It added Mad Max-inspired cars to the mix before delivering bizarre crossovers with Pirates of the Caribbean and, now, a Fall Guys collab. Even as we gear up for the Marvel-themed Chapter 5 Season 4, Epic is trying to keep us invested in the current season.
Fortnite x Fall Guys collab has a potential problem
For those who've jumped off the Battle Bus since August 6, you'll notice new challenges tied to a floating obstacle course near Classy Courts. To access the Where We Fallin' challenges, you need to locate the golden bean statue and interact with it to be transported into the air. After completing the course, you'll float back down.
Over on Reddit, one player highlighted a problem with the course because if you head back to the statue to collect your loot (with different rarity depending on how quickly you completed your run), it can occasionally clip beneath the statue and get stuck there. Obviously, you don't have to go to the statue to get your loot.
Worse than this, others in the comments point out how Classy Courts has become a sniper's paradise. With this being the only place to access the Where We Fallin' course, it's already become a hotbed of activity. Some claim that snipers are currently camping out nearby and picking you off as you glide down from the course.
In a separate thread on Reddit, one angry fan wrote, "I'm honestly surprised Epic didn’t plan around this or give you some sort of temporary invincibility just to do this/the quests. All day, people have just been camping the statues 😩."
Another added, "Just pathetic losers who can't get a kill any other way," and a third said, "Literally, those people can go f**k themselves like why. if you're SOO good, you don't need to camp." Unfortunately, it doesn't seem there's much you can do to avoid these sweats.
It's unclear whether Epic will do something to address those Classy Court campers, but in the meantime, we suggest you keep your wits about you if you're trying to get that elusive Fall Guys backpack. Hopefully, other campers will start hanging out to try and take out these unfair campers.
