In a bid to escape those January blues, Call of Duty is preparing a rich pantry of content in February which will see Midas’ golden touch turn your plunders into fortunes to keep.

Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 is on the way, and with it comes a fan-favourite map that will reignite the resurgence playlist and reinvigorate the fan base.

Fortune’s Keep is coming back to Warzone in Season 2 but with a major twist.

Fortune’s Keep revealed for Warzone return

Fortune’s Keep was only in Warzone for a limited time having been the last map added before the original legacy game was retired ahead of the sequel.

But content creators have now been given Easter egg packages which have confirmed Fortune’s Keep will be reintroduced next week.

Mason "Symfuhny" Lanier, "Nicari", "Kesto", "Majin2uu", and "Lucky Chamu" all received care packages featuring massive boxes of rocky solution which soon dissolved into different parts of the map, followed by notes that prompted players to drop into the POI soon.

The map will arrive before Rebirth Island, which has also been teased by Raven Software in recent weeks, insinuating that it might not be too far behind.

Fortune's Keep won't be the same in Warzone 2

From the care packages and models of Fortnue's Keep that have been revealed by the content creators, it appears that there will be some major changes to the popular map.

In all five of the models, there are some serious structural differences afoot, as it appears an earthquake has ripped through the island.

Even the main castle itself has been impacted, with a huge tear through the keep, although this might actually unlock more secrets that the island has previously kept hidden. Just a reminder, Warzone Season 2 is expected to launch on February 7.
