Get your grind on, as Modern Warfare 2 is continuing the annual pursuit of players' time and sanity by offering out mastery weapon camouflages that will undoubtedly drive you mad trying to acquire.

Mastery camos have long been one of the best elements of Call of Duty multiplayer action, dishing out pristine, bejewelled, and adored weapon coverings that strike fear into an enemy' kill-cams.

The camos have escalated in stature in recent years, with Modern Warfare's Damascus, Cold War's Dark Aether, and Vanguard's Atomic all being scintillating patterns that have set apart the elite players from the feeble. Now, Modern Warfare 2's have been leaked.

Modern Warfare 2 Mastery Camos Names Leaked

Continuing the usual pattern of Gold to Platinum to Mastery, the camo skins will play an integral part in Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer experience. According to popular leaker "Metaphor," both Gold and Platinum are returning, with the former completely taking over the gun with darker golden ascents adding texture.

The Platinum camo is also reported to be much nicer than that of Modern Warfare 2019, being completely iridescent and boasting a brighter colour to flex. Alongside these, Metaphor has detailed that a "space camo" and a "shattered dark matter" skin will also arrive. The space camo allegedly looks like spilt oil, with a rainbow-styled colour palette appearing in a liquidated form around the gun.

MW2 Completion Camo Leaked As 'Orion'

The two mastery camos will be named "Polyatomic" and "Orion" according to metaphor, although it's not yet sure as to which one will be the design for earning Gold on all of your weapons.

Much akin to how Cold War had a fourth mastery camo for completing the feat on Zombies, one of the two mastery camos might come from completing Spec Ops or from within the DMZ mode. With four camos in total, there is set to be a wealth of challenges that come with it, giving players ample opportunity to grind through the levels in multiplayer.
