Conker has been taking one hell of a leave of absence. The game series started with the iconic and foul-mouthed Conker's Bad Fur Day - making him a real fan-favourite.
Though re-issues and sequels were attempted, the game series never truly recovered or met its untapped potential, meaning the squirrel faded away into the blurred lines of Xbox's purchase of Rare.
It's a sad state to see befall the sailor-tongued little devil, but alas, it looks like the age of Conker could well and truly be over. Still, that won't keep it from a strong marketing tirade, as G-Fuel has just launched a new flavour in honour of the series. And it's… a little suspicious.
G-Fuel Has A New Mighty Poo Flavour
No thanks, mate, we're alright. In a bizarre reveal, the Conker's Bad Fur Day name has been put to use on a new flavour of G-Fuel. It has been created to pay homage to the game's most iconic boss, The Mighty Poo.
The new flavour features Conker on the front and boasts a "tropical corn soda" flavour. While we admit it could've definitely been a worse flavour, we've still got to say this one is pretty gross. At least it got everyone talking, and maybe, could remind Microsoft why we need to see Conker again.
It's certainly an interesting choice on the behalf of Rare and G-Fuel, but hell, you just know that the flavour is going to sell well. We've been so starved of Conker content, this is our first glimmer of hope that the salty squirrel could see the light of day again in years. It's pretty weird to put our faith in poo so much, but we'll take what we can get.
G-Fuel's Mighty Poo Flavour Comes In An Expensive Box Set
Fans can now sign up for a chance to purchase the icky flavour of G-Fuel as part of a larger box set - which as of right now is the only way to bag the flavour.
It comes in a $60 bundle, that features an exclusive Youtooz figure of The Mighty Poo himself. It'll be nice to have for sure, but it's not one you'll want to put straight onto your shelf for the sake of having to explain it every time.
The bundle is a little wild, but then again, we shouldn't expect anything less from Conker. Superfans, if you ever wanted to know what The Mighty Poo tasted like (you freak), then your chance is finally here.
